I was born in Shri Antu, Suryodaya Municipality, in 2028 BS (1971 AD). Despite being the son of a poor farmer, I had a habit of fighting for the truth from a very young age. When I was a child, there were no proper roads like there are today. To reach the market of what is now Fikkal Suryodaya Municipality, it took me three hours to travel each way. In Shri Antu, Indian currency was often used, and the market itself was located in India. I studied at a primary school in Mirik, India. While I was studying, a major movement took place in Darjeeling. After that, I returned and started my education at Janak Secondary School. Over time, I made many friends, and I began to learn more about Nepal and its history. Slowly, I also got involved in politics. After working for nearly three decades, I was given the opportunity to become the Mayor of Suryodaya Municipality. In 2074 BS (2017 AD), I was elected with an overwhelming majority for a five-year term. In 2079 BS (2021 AD), the people of the municipality once again voted for me with a massive mandate. During my time as Mayor, I had the chance to serve and contribute to the development of the municipality. Under my leadership, in 2079 BS (2021AD), Suryodaya Municipality became one of the leading municipalities in Nepal’s economic development. Today, Suryauday Municipality is a well-known and popular municipality in Nepal, recognized as a tourist destination.
