I am excited to announce that the Koshi Provincial Government has included the construction of a monorail from Shree Antu Lake to the Peak of Shree Antu in Ward 4 of Suryodaya Municipality as a transformative project in its periodic plan for Fiscal Year 2081/82 to 2085/86. This ambitious project will not only be a source of pride for the provincial government but will also represent one of the largest investment ever made in the development and promotion of tourism sector in Suryodaya Municipality.
Among the other 18 transformative projects, our municipality has been selected as one of the areas of execution of for the transformative project.
Today, I was honored to receive the project book for the Second Periodic Plan, covering Fiscal Year 2081/82 to 2085/86, from Dr. Rajendra Adhikari, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial Planning Commission, and Hon. Member Dr. Sita Ram Basnet. Following the meeting, we commemorated the occasion with a group photo and exchanged well wishes and pledges of continued cooperation.
This is a significant step towards modernizing our municipality. I am confident that this major project will boost tourism inflow, stimulate economic growth, create job opportunities for our people, and further promote our tourism areas, further benefitting us on the long run.
