Tourism Year 2082: Regarding Suryodaya’s Strategies

Suryodaya Municipaity would like to express its gratitude towards Ratopati for featuring such an insightful interview with the mayor which shed light on the strategies that Suryodaya has and will be implementing to boost tourism, especially with the potential declaration of 2082 BS as a tourism year.

During the interview with Mr. Arjun Acharya, I had the honor to highlight the significance of robust coordination between all levels of government for tourism development, mapping tourist sites and attracting Indian tourists through strategic partnerships with Indian travel agencies.

Furthermore, strategic initiatives from the local body such as homestay promotion, establishment of information centers, and integration of tech tools like QR codes and use of specialized mobile chips focused towards tourism ease for the tourists were also a part of discussion to improve tourist experience.

The substantial need for better hospitality, cleanliness, and infrastructure and supply of drinkable water to the hotel business operating across the municipality premises were discussed regarding the assertion of the Municipality into a more welcoming destination.

The interview considers the issues the local body has been facing and addresses the measures we have been taking to such issues some the major issues being excessive checks at country borders and issues regarding promotion of the unique experiences that Shree Antu’s sunrise or Kanyam’s tea gardens offers.

We appreciate Ratopati for bringing these important ideas to light and supporting the vision of sustainable and welcoming tourism in our region.
