Expanding Opportunities for Our Youth: Motorcycle and House-Wiring Training

(June 9, 2025, Fikkal Ilam) In our continued commitment towards building a self-reliant, skilled youth population, Suryodaya Municipality has begun a 10-month technical training program focused on dignified employment.

Under this joint initiative between the Municipality, the Federal Government and the Swiss Government, 20 chosen young individuals from all wards of the local level would receive receive hands-on training in motorcycle repair and maintenance, while another 20 will specialize in house wiring for the span of up and coming 10 months. This Level-2 training includes on-the-job training (OJT), ensuring that participants not only gain theoretical knowledge but also practical skills they can immediately apply .

Everyone partaking in the on-the-job training program would receive daily allowances which has been put into place with regards to ease their economic burden during training. Our hope is that this initiative becomes a launching pad toward a sustainable, independent, and dignified future for our youth.

Dawn of a greener Tomorrow Begins Today: Environmental-Friendly Wards 8 and 9

(June 6, 2025, Fikkal, Ilam) Suryodaya Municipality has taken yet another, massive and important step toward becoming an environmentally conscious municipality. We’ve officially initiated the “Environment-Friendly Ward” program in Wards No. 8 and 9.

The role of Environment is often times overlooked when talked about oneself’s happiness and development, But there can be no real progress or well-being without a healthy ecosystem. Sustainable development simply cannot be imagined without environmental stewardship.

The initiative that we’ve taken isn’t just about reducing pollution or protecting natural resources. It’s about passing on clean air, fertile soil, and a resilient climate to the next generation. It’s about ensuring the safety of human health, preserving biodiversity, and creating a balanced co-existence with wildlife.

Many many congratulations to wards 8 and 9 and let’s keep moving forward into building Suryodaya in sustainable, inclusive and environmental friendly way.
