Direct Dialogue with Farmers Under IPM
(Date: 22nd June 2025) As the Mayor of the Municipality, I personally visited the fields and held discussions with the farmers of our municipality and held discussions under the IPM Agricultural School initiative.
The visit to the farms and receiving their feedbacks was genuinely valuable insight for me and the entire Suryodaya Municipality.
As the farmers got to know the benefits of the ongoing IPM Agricultral initiative, they expressed their genuine happiness and gratitude towards the program and further acknowledged municipality’s consistent efforts and assists in helping them transition toward becoming professional agri-entrepreneurs which showcased how much Suryodaya Municipality believes and invests in it’s motto i.e “Prosperity of Suryodaya Municipality: Organic agriculture, agro‑tourism, and economic equality.”
Smart Tea Farming: Municipality Distributes Eco-Friendly Tea Plucking Tools
(Date: 18th June 2025) As to everyone’s knowledge, Tea is a lifeline for our region and the residents of Suryodaya Muncipality are heavily dependent on revenue generation, tourism attraction, research and development attraction on tea gardens, black orthodox tea and other tea varieties and when it comes to maintaining the quality Suryodaya Muncipaity heavily considers it to be non-negotiable.
Over the course of time I learned that using large sized tea-plucking machines massively degrades or compromises the quality of tea plucked and further increases the risk of disease in tea bushes.
To this response, our municipality has taken a proactive step. In collaboration with cooperatives and local community organizations, the distribution of battery-operated mini handheld tea plucking machines to over 160 households were successfully completed today. This initiative not only safeguards tea quality but also empowers our tea-growing families with modern, sustainable tools.

(Date: 15th June 2025) “Education for every daughter and daughter-in-law.” Has been a slogan and motto of Suryodaya Muncipality since it’s dawn and the municipality has taken yet another step towards education inclusion of all genders dated 15th June 2025 by signing a scholarship agreement with Karfok Campus, aimed at supporting women pursuing bachelor-level education. Over 200 daughters and daughters-in-law from our municipality have already benefitted from this scholarship. I’m proud to announce that 23 of them from the first batch have now successfully graduated.
