Major Investment in Tea Trail and Waste Management for a Sustainable Future

(30th July 2025) As part of a comprehensive initiative to promote sustainable tourism and environmental management, a major investment is underway for the construction of a Tea Trail in Suryodaya Municipality. This project aims to harness the natural and cultural heritage of the tea region to generate productive economic returns. Site visits were conducted to assess investment viability, with photographs captured during the on-ground inspection.

The Tea Trail and Integrated Solid Waste Management System are being developed through a tripartite collaboration among the Federal Government, Provincial Government, Local Government, and the Government of Switzerland. After an extended period of planning, the Integrated Solid Waste Management System is being realized with significant contributions from the Swiss Government, which has allocated NPR 20 million through the PSP mechanism.

Furthermore, a team of experts has officially commenced the Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) process as of today.
