Following are the decisions made by the Disaster management committee of Suryodaya Municipality regarding the heavy rainfall and the casualties caused by it that occurred on Ashoj 18 and 19 (October 4th and 5th 2025) held under the chairmanship of myself.
- Management of displaced families due to the disaster shall be done through the Disaster Management Committee.
- Immediate arrangements for food, drinking water, and necessary supplies shall be made for the affected individuals and families.
- Families of deceased victims shall be provided relief materials, tents, and tarpaulins. Arrangements shall be made to deliver these items by Asoj 20, 2082 through the Ward Office concerned.
- Children of the affected families shall be provided with educational materials, school uniforms, and stationery.
- Injured persons within the municipality shall receive primary treatment at local health institutions and the costs shall be managed by the municipality.
- Arrangements for drinking water shall be made immediately in places where the supply has been disrupted due to the disaster.
- Affected roads and bridges shall be repaired immediately by mobilizing necessary resources and equipment.
- Coordination with local organizations shall be done for search and rescue operations, including RRT (Rapid Response Team) mobilization if necessary.
- Security agencies shall coordinate with the municipality to ensure proper management of the affected areas.
- Public information shall be made effective by coordinating with communication media and local networks.
- Free telephone service and an information desk shall be established at the municipality office to assist the public and provide up-to-date information about the disaster situation.
