Regarding AIT RRC.AP Meet Thailand 2025

Attending the AIT RRC.AP Meet 2025 in Bangkok was a remarkable experience, allowing Suryodaya Municipality to share its vision for climate and disaster resilience on a global stage. With esteemed dignitaries, including Japan’s Environment Minister, and 45 participants from across Asia and the Pacific, the event fostered insightful discussions on sustainable urban development, climate adaptation, and disaster risk reduction. AIT RRC.AP’s focus on climate change, air quality, and waste management aligned perfectly with our goals, and I was honored to highlight our municipality’s ongoing initiatives. Beyond presentations, valuable networking opportunities strengthened collaborations for future projects. Importantly, I want to assure our citizens that our participation imposed no financial burden on the municipality, as all expenses were covered by the organizers. Moving forward, the knowledge and connections gained will guide our policies and reinforce our commitment to building a greener, safer, and more resilient Suryodaya.

A Healthier Tomorrow for our Daughters: Suryodaya’s Mission to Eliminate Cervical Cancer with HPV Vaccination.

Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths among women in Nepal, but it is also preventable. The HPV vaccination campaign, launched across all local levels in Nepal, aims to protect young girls from this life-threatening disease. With global health organizations like WHO and CDC confirming the vaccine’s safety and effectiveness, vaccinating girls aged 10–14 years is a crucial step in reducing HPV infections and securing a healthier future. However, misconceptions have led some parents to withhold this life-saving vaccine from their daughters. This campaign seeks to raise awareness, dispel doubts, and ensure that no girl in Nepal is left vulnerable to preventable HPV-related diseases. Let’s come together to safeguard the health and future of our daughters.
