To expedite the completion of the Panchakanya-Kanyam’s Large-Scale Drinking Water Project, discussions have been held with the Minister for Water Supply, the Secretary, the Director General and Mr. Yubaraj Adhikari, Chairperson of Nepal Airlines, at his residence to help facilitate the process.
In addition, the Chairperson generously handed over five laptops and some footballs to a local club. The laptops were made available for use by the local community development organization.
I extend my sincere gratitude to the Chairperson for showing concern and helping coordinate efforts for this important project in our municipality.
Although the project’s initial estimated cost was NPR 660 million, it has been contracted at a significantly reduced cost. Currently, 70% of the work has been completed. The Minister has directed that progress be reviewed after one month and that necessary actions be taken based on the contractor’s performance.
