Regarding the enaugration of Temporary National ID registration center and transition of Citizenship Services

Following the agreement between the Director General of the National Identity and Registration Department of Nepal and the Mayor of Suryodaya municipality on the date 2081-11-11 regarding the temporary establishment for National Identity Card registration and distribution station and the announcement of the transition from the District Administration Office in Ilam to Immigration and Border Administration Office in Pashupatinagar regarding the citizenship obtaining, renewing and management center for the residents of Wards 6 to 14, from the date March 17, 2025 a temporary National Identity Card registration and distribution station had come under operation directly from the municipal office, issuing 39 cards on its first day of the operation.

Simultaneously, the Border Administration Office In ward 2 of Pashupatinagar started commencing citizenship distribution services for all wards of the municipality.

The inaugation ceremony for citizenship services from Immigration and Border Administration Office in Pashupatinagar was attended by the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and the Chief Administrative officer, Superintendent of Police from the District Police Office, Armed Police Superintendent, people’s representatives among other dignitaries as the ceremony was enaugated by the Chief District Officer Mrs. Kalpana Shrestha, who on this enaugration ceremony handed over the first citizenship from the border administrative office to Ms. Sakuntala Bhattarai of Suryodaya 10.

These efforts by the municipality has been done in regard to the ease of the services for the residents of Suryodaya Municipality.

These developments underscore Suryodaya Municipality’s commitment to decentralizing essential services and enhancing administrative efficiency for its citizens.​
